A hybrid remote work schedule is what many employees are waiting for. The employees are urging the companies to incorporate changes in the compulsion of coming to the office. The work-from-home culture has given a different way out to the employees.

Work from home is something that was started as a resort during a crisis. Covid – 19 diseases made us look at the world differently. For most people, who are privileged enough to have a home and the comfort of the family throughout the ongoing pandemic, the doors of opportunities were opened. 

People started to give importance to their hobbies and talents and peace while doing that. It was a time to reconnect with the family and spend time together. And all of us were able to do it even after having our jobs and working. Work from home has given a new outlook to the employees. The possibility of everything running smoothly even after sitting at home.

Well, it is no cakewalk. In fact, work from home brought in longer hours of working and stress as the boundaries of ‘working hours’ were blurred. The targets had to be achieved as and when required, the duration did not matter. Some may complete it in 5 hours and some may do so in 17 hours but it had to be done.

But now things are changing. After the prolonged lockdown, the vaccination drives have been able to vaccinate people and are vaccinating more and more people each passing day. Well, vaccination brings in movement. Movement out of the house and indicating towards the opening of the offices. And now it is getting hard to step out. Most of the employees do not wish to work by going out every day just like before.

WHY ARE EMPLOYEES NOT RETURNING TO OFFICES AFTER WORK FROM HOME?

Work from home might have been tedious when it was new but now it has become a lifestyle. Being able to work from home, earn and manage other activities have brought in new energy in the workforce. 

  • Some of them have started working as freelancers or other jobs to increase their income.
  • Some people have started taking their hobbies seriously
  • People are have become very enterprising and doing something on their own
  • People are honing their skills and learning new things

After being able to do this much, it is difficult to return to the office and spend 10 hours of the entire day traveling and working only to return home exhausted.

WHAT IS A HYBRID REMOTE WORK PATTERN?

Hybrid remote working is a new concept that had to be brought in after the Covid – 19 disease. Hybrid remote working is an opportunity for the employees to work from both home and office. Business leaders have realized the needs of the employees and such a work model can be seen more in the future. 

The hybrid remote work schedule will allow the local employees to go to the office on some days of the week and work from home on other days. Also, employees have started to embrace this new work model which is very liberating. Getting to choose a favorable environment to work in is liberating for an employee.

WILL HYBRID REMOTE WORK BECOME THE NEXT BIG THING IN THE CORPORATE WORLD?

We all know that the answer to this is a big yes. The hybrid remote work model is one of the next big things in the corporate world. This working model can change the dynamics of the companies. The hybrid workplace policy is what employees are waiting for. 

The new work model allows companies to expand their horizons. With allowance to remote working, companies can reach out to many skilled employees all across the globe which may then lead to other expansion opportunities for the companies.

Also, it will stimulate the employment rates depending upon the success of the companies. If the company is earning good profits, it would wish to expand and hire new people for the added work and vice versa. 

Though employment opportunities would be created, there is no guarantee. Artificial intelligence has risked the job opportunities of many people. With the incorporation of AI’s in the work culture, companies do not have to spend on the skill-building of the employees. The workflow would become faster too. 

CONCLUSION

A hybrid remote work model will surely be the next big thing for the employees. It would increase employee engagement and motivation which will then deliver better results benefiting the company. But the employees will have to learn to manage both sides efficiently for the opportunity to sustain.

A hybrid remote work schedule is just like 2-in-1 ice cream. The employees will be able to work from the office, meet their co-workers and get a break from home and then work from home too, efficiently.
